Well, yesterday I got a call from Edith's family and they said I could come down to the hospital again as she was more alert. So, I headed over there and spent some time with her and she talked with me a little bit but mostly she was just really tired out and wanted her hand held so we all took turns doing that throughout the day/evening.

Mark came after he got off work and she was real happy to see him, too. We stayed until 930 last night. The doctors expect she will be gone within a few days and we are so very glad that we got to see her one last time and talk to her and just be with her.

It was so nice of the family to allow us to be there at that time. They are all so sweet and loving towards Edith. She is a very special person and her family are all great, too. When we were leaving they said they would keep us posted and then have us to dinner once things calmed down. So that is nice.
