My apologies for not writing in the last week. I have been busy lately.
Last Wednesday I drove to Red Deer to meet my friend, Cheryl from Edmonton. She came with her three kids...Ciara, Avery & Jett. We had a nice time together shopping and going for lunch and shopping some more and then out for coffee at Tim Horton's. I hadn't seen Cheryl for at least two years so it was really good to see her and also to meet her two eldest children...Ciara and Avery. Thanks for hanging out with me and travelling from Edmonton to do so!!!
On that same day I met a very dear lady, Ethel at a restaurant where we spent a few hours chatting and having dinner. It was so very nice to see her and talk to her. She is very wise and very loving. Thank you for the visit Ethel!! *Hugs*
I drove home after seeing Ethel and while driving the long hour and a bit I talked to Suzie on the phone...it was nice to have company on that long drive. I got home just before midnight I think it was. Thanks Suzie ;-)
Ummm...let's see what else has happened...oh two important phone converstations were had this past week as well.
The first was with my dearest Sister-in-law, Clara. We had a looonng conversation and really talked and it was so good to talk with her about that stuff. I really am so lucky to have her...she is so loving. Thank you Clara...lots of love to you!
Also I talked to my cousin, Leslie, whom I haven't spoken to since I was around 12 years old I believe. She lives in Toronto and her Dad (my uncle Kerry) passed on my blog address to her and she sent me an e-mail one day and we communicated that way a few times and then she called. WOW - she sounds like an amazing woman and I hope some day that we can meet again. She is almost two years older than I am. We had lots of catching up to do. It is unfortunite that we don't live closer as I do think her and I would get along really well. Thank you for calling, Leslie ..*hugs*
On Friday afternoon I met up with my friend, Ingrid, and we went for a bit of a walk downtown and then went into the Devonian Gardens and hung out and chatted. She is always fun to hang out with!
This weekend I spent some time cleaning up this house. I don't mean the usual, vacuum,sweeping, mopping and laundry...I mean the real cleaning...cleaning the fridge, organizing cupboards, organizing the mountain of paperwork and bills etc. that collected on this computer desk..what a job! And I ain't done yet..but getting closer all the time:-)
On Saturday afternoon I met Lynne at Tim Horton's. She is my sweet friend, Edith's granddaughter. I think it is so very nice of the family to keep in touch with us after her passing. So, we had a nice little visit and will probably do something again in a week or so.
On Saturday evening I drove to Chinook mall to meet up with a lady who works at the law firm I worked at. Her name is Bettina. We had a nice time together shopping and having coffee etc. I was so tired though...seriously I haven't got much energy lately.
Today I took our king size comforter to the laundromat and sat in there and crocheted. I started a project in January after seeing my OTHER MOTHER, but have since quit that one because it will never turn out as I wasn't so good back at the beginning..I started on a project much too big for a starter project. So now I am crocheting a little lap blanket and other than it not being completely even, it is going very well. I actually got a lot done on it. I am going upstairs after I finish this post and will crochet a little bit more. I really enjoy it but I wish I knew someone around here who knew how to crochet as I would like to learn more. But this is good practice until such time as I meet someone who can do that.
Well, I guess I should get off here. Oh...the next post down is a forward that I received in my e-mail tonight and I decided to post it because it has a REALLY good message.
God bless you all!

Hey care;
You asked if I check out your blog and yep I do! We enjoyed the day out too even if we had to leave the country...as Avery put it!
Luv ya :)
Hi Carrie, you are crocheting! Cool, I love to crochet. I wish I still lived in Calgary, we could get together and crochet ;) You should email me your address and I could send you some good easy starter patterns. I kind of taught myself while I was living out there, and made quite a few dish cloths which are fun and good practice :)
