Kamloops

Two weeks ago we drove to Kamloops to look at houses and also to figure out which areas of the city we should concentrate our search on. We drove around with our real estate agent and she was very helpful. Mark went around to a few sheet metal places in the city and it will not be a problem at all to get work!!

YAY - we can't wait to move there! So beautiful and calmer and hardly any traffic...heehee

After that we had an awesome time visiting with our friend Bradley Dean. We met his beautiful daughter, Mi'Kayla, who is four months old. She is such a sweetheart.
We went out one evening with Brad and had fun dancing which we haven't done in forever.

We went out to Savona on Father's Day and hung out with my other mom and dad. Again, we had an awesome time! I love them so much! Mom and I made two really yummy pies and Dad and Mark went around doing guy stuff.

My real Mom and her boyfriend, Joe, came out that day as well which was GREAT! We asked them to stay for dinner and I had made spaghetti and ya it was great. We all had a good time. I am so glad that Mom and Joe came out. Made that night special.

Update!

Again it has been awhile since I wrote a proper post. We have been supremely busy with reno's.

As of this past Sunday we have completed the following:

Painted the house.

Repaired the deck.

Stained the deck.

Painted the railings on the deck which took forever!!!

Painted windows and trim and the door of the garage

Cut down a tree on the side of the house

Trimmed the trees and bushes around the house and ripped up the vines that were growing up the fence

Planted flowers in the front and back

Painted the bathroom in our room

Well that sums up what we've been doing the last few months. The house looks good now. The last major thing we need to do before selling is to rip up the front walkway and put in a new one.

Then the house will be perfect and I almost don't want to leave! HAHA. No I want to leave. I wish I could take my house with us but I definitely don't want to be in this city any longer.

Anyway, other news...we are heading to Kamloops after work today and will spend the next few days looking at houses and searching the area to figure out where we'd like to buy.

We will also see my friend BradleyDean and stay at his place for a few nightts and then will stay the last few days with my darling other Mom and Dad which is so excitiing!!!

Well I had best get back to work now.

Spaghetti and stuff

Today I made the biggest and yummiest pot of spaghetti ever! It took almost two hours to get all the ingredients together. Oh my goodness it was the best spaghetti ever! LOL.

I spent the day with Jenny today and we watched more Annie of Green Gables well mostly she watched as I was making spaghetti and then painting doors and ya we still got some visiting in between. She was pretty content to relax on the couch anyways and even fell asleep for a few hours as she was sooo tired. She has been around a lot lately and has become a good friend of ours.

Anyway, after I dropped her off I came home and finished getting dinner ready and then my adorable hubby arrived home and soon Ron arrived. Dad came up and we all had the yummy dinner and then I headed out back to paint the trim on the back of the house while the boys were inside measuring doorways and such for the transition strips.

After Ron left and I finished painting I got Mark to show me how to use the pressure washer (ooh so complicated...not!!) anyways he showed me and then I washed the lower deck which took like forever to do. Tomorrow I will do the top deck and the garage so that I can paint the trim on the garage.

Then hopefully this long weekend we can get this deck stained and that will be two big projects out of the way. Then we have to tackle the biggest project of all which is to take out the disgraceful walkway and put in a new one. Whew talk about hard work! BUT it's also fun. I love doing home reno stuff and Mark is teaching me lots which is cool.

Anyway, it's like 1230 and I should try to get back to sleep again.

Happy Mother's Day

Sorry it's been sooo long since I wrote or even posted a few pictures. We have been super busy around here with house stuff. Lots to do and not a lot of time to do it in.

Today its cold out and it rained last night so we couldn't paint today which was too bad. But I will do it during the week this week so that we will be on schedule for the long weekend and can work on another project.

Anyways, it's Mother's Day and we didn't send out cards!! SORRY!! So I decided to dedicate a post to our Mom's.

First is Mom Coombs. This picture was taken after our wedding sometime. Mom is so sweet and loving and veerry special. And what a nice pic of her and her boy! We love you Mom Coombs!!!



Second is Mom Trapp (used to be Dickens) and she is looking particularly lovely in her work uniform. My Mom is strong and loving and beautiful!! We love you!!

My Birthday

Well - on Saturday I turned 27 years old! WOW! Had a very nice day, too. Marky-poo invited my sister and her boyfriend and Ron & Ed over.

We had a delicious steak dinner and a cake. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Afterwards we just hung out and played cards and goofed off. Was a fun night - thanks for sharing it with me guys!

Scenery

Yep you guessed it...we went to the mountains again on Sunday! We went to the upper Kananaskis lake and had a hot dog roast and went for a nice walk along the lake and throughout the day the weather went from a beautiful sunny day to white-out conditions..it did this prolly 3-4 times throughout the day. We didn't mind at all! Just so nice to be away from the city!!
